From Studio to Storefront: How My Bags Travel the World

Every hand-painted tote begins the same way — in my Las Vegas studio, with a blank canvas bag and a brush dipped in color. But from there, each piece begins a journey. What starts as paint and imagination in my hands can end up carried on a shoulder in Florida, gifted at a wedding in New York, or hanging proudly in a boutique window across the country.

Here’s a look at how my bags travel from studio to storefront — and into the everyday lives of people who fall in love with them.

🎨 Painting in Vegas: Where It All Begins

Every tote starts at The Uncommon Studio in Las Vegas. I choose the base (often my signature burlap/jute totes), then bring it to life with hand-painted details — from bold stilettos to blooming florals. Each bag is unique, every brushstroke intentional, and no two totes are ever exactly the same.

The creative process is both structured and spontaneous. I may sketch out an idea, but often the best designs come from letting the paint flow naturally. That’s what makes these bags not just accessories, but little pieces of wearable art.

📦 Shipping Nationwide: From My Hands to Yours

Once painted and sealed, every tote is carefully packaged in my studio. I wrap each one like the special piece it is — because for me, presentation matters just as much as the art itself.

Over the years, these packages have traveled to customers all over the U.S. It’s always thrilling to imagine someone opening their box and lifting out a bag that was painted just for them. Many tell me they get stopped with compliments the very first time they carry it — and that’s exactly what I hope for!

🛍 On Shelves in Boutiques: A Dream Come True

One of the most exciting parts of this journey is seeing my totes in boutiques. Recently, I was thrilled to partner with Evelyn & Arthur, a retailer with seven beautiful locations across Florida and Hilton Head, SC. My bags are now on their shelves, reaching a whole new audience of women who love style with personality.

Boutiques like Evelyn & Arthur — and others who’ve discovered my line through Faire — are helping my art reach more people than I ever imagined when I first started painting. Each new partnership feels like a milestone worth celebrating.
